Rules for the Park

Here are some handy-dandy rules for enjoying Lone Elk Park.

Some are posted- some our ours!

1- Never feed the animals.

2- Keep your distance- 100 feet at least and more during mating season!

3- ALWAYS go to the special areas

-Whitetail Deer Shelter

-Boat Launch parking lot

-Ralph Foley Shelter

-Elk Hollow Road

-Elk Hollow Basin Parking lot

-Elk Hollow Road Gravel Parking lot

4- If you have time- take the special cut-through on Elk Hollow Road and go back to the beginning! (Stay straight instead of turning right to go down into Elk Hollow-you'll see it when you get there!)

5- Coming 1-2 hours before sunset is the best time to see all of the animals out-especially during mating season.

6- Have your camera ready to roll at all times- you never know who will just walk out of the woods!

7-ENJOY!!!
